The EUROGRADUATE Survey 2022 initiates the 2nd phase of a European pilot survey of higher education graduates. The number of participating countries has increased from 8 to 17, now covering more than half of the countries of the European Economic Area.
This 2nd phase focuses on the implementation of the learnings from the EUROGRADUATE pilot survey 2018, the adaptation of the questionnaire and the increase of ownership of the data by participating countries. The latter particularly aims at facilitating the participation of the countries in EUROGRADUTE and to allow an easier integration of the European survey in national graduate surveys.
In the 2nd phase, EUROGRADUATE survey 2022 purses the following objectives:
- • Development of a questionnaire that reflects the information needs of policy makers, higher education institutions and graduates, as accurately as possible
- • Increase of the ownership of the data by the participating countries (own survey, flexibility in scope)
- • At the same time, keep comparability high
- • Increase of the number of observations
- • Improvement of the publications to make them more target group-oriented, understandable and visually appealing
- • Increase of the awareness of EUROGRADUATE and further establishment of the EUROGRADUATE brand
The EUROGRADUATE survey 2022 is led by an international consortium of 4 partner organisations: German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW, Germany, Coordination), Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS, Austria), Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market at the University of Maastricht (ROA, The Netherlands), and cApStAn linguistic quality control (Belgium). GESIS Leibniz Institute for Social Studies provides external quality assurance services to the project. In addition, national research teams implement the EUROGRADUATE survey 2022 in their countries.
The project runs from mid of December 2021 to mid of June 2024.
