The state of Thüringen has set up a working group (AG Hochschulentwicklung 2030+) to critically evaluate the state's higher education institutions and the prospects for its higher education system up to the year 2030. The recommendations of the working group are to be incorporated into future higher education policy.
In the first phase, the German Centre for Higher Education and Science Studies (DZHW) supports the working group by providing a data report based on official statistics. Among other things, this data report will be one topic of the working group's kick-off meeting. It provides an overview of Thuringia's higher education system, including comparative perspectives on other German states.
The entire process is structured into modules, which can be commissioned by the TMWWDG as needed. Further focal points are the data-related support of the working group according to the results and discussion of the kick-off meeting as well as support in final reporting. Further involvement of the DZHW can be commissioned by the TMWWDG in the ongoing process on request.
