The third survey wave of the DZHW’s Panel Study of School Leavers with a Higher Education Entrance Qualification 2010 began in July 2014. It took place four and a half years after the students gained their higher education entrance qualification. This third survey follows a second survey six months after the school leavers gained their qualification (December 2010) and the first survey six months before the school leavers gained the qualification (December 2009).
The current survey wave aims to analyse the post-school educational and career paths and the realisation of the educational intentions and decisions expressed by the school leavers in the prior waves. To achieve this, detailed information on the structure and monthly progress of the post-school paths of the approx. 5,200 qualified school leaver respondents was acquired, as well as on their attitudes, motives and personal characteristics.
The third survey of the 2010 cohort of school leavers with a higher education entrance qualification focuses on the topics:
- Decision-making processes and determinants of international mobility
- Selection and changes of discipline studied
- Transition from bachelor’s to master’s programmes
